Zhejiang
is located in the southern part
of Yangtze River Delta on the southeast
coast of China. It borders Shanghai,
the country’s largest city,with
an area of 101,800 sq. km, and a
population of 46.8 million. In administrative
division, there are 11 cities under
the direct jurisdiction of the province,
which are further divided into 36
counties and 22 county-level cities.

tourism resources, it has been considered
as “land of fish and rice,capital of
silk and tea, place of rich cultural relics
and paradise for tourists”. Zhejiangness

In 2004, the provincial GDP rose to 135.8
billion USD，GDP per capita was about
2,900 USD, all ranking itself the 4th
among all the provinces in China. Light
industry is the dominated sector in the
province’s economy with machinery,electronics,chemicals
and textile as the mainstays.
